THIS breaks my heart every single time:⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ To see a caption where the person is deeply depressed, and to read a comment where someone is struggling to stay alive.⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ My heart shivers every single time. My eyes fill with tears every single time.⁣⁣ And the worst part? Thinking that I can’t help much, if at all. And it’s THIS that motivates me to keep working on creating my programmes. If you talk every day, you are already practicing affirmations. Every word you speak is an affirmation, a statement. Affirmations help us to flip the switch and begin speaking in the direction that we actually want to go. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ In order to help relieve your depression faster, you will want to make affirmations a daily routine. Do them as often as you can. As with most things, they will seem hard to to believe in the beginning. Especially if you are suffering with severe depression. Gently persist, and I promise you - it gets easier in easier the more you do it. You should aim to remember your top 1-3 affirmations even upon waking up in the middle of night. ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Write down these positive and loving affirmations on a piece of paper, and repeat them out loud as often as you can throughout the day. Repeating them as you look in the mirror is 100x more powerful, but you don’t have to if you struggle with self-acceptance at this stage. I know it’s hard.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ - I accept and love myself unconditionally⁣⁣⁣ - I am enough⁣⁣⁣ - I am strong ⁣⁣⁣ - I only allow healthy and loving relationships into my life⁣⁣⁣ - how I feel matters so I focus on things in life that make me feel good⁣⁣⁣ - I am in control of my thoughts⁣⁣⁣ - I love who I am / I like who I am⁣⁣⁣ - I love who I am becoming / I like who I am becoming ⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ If you struggle with self-love, choose words that are beginner level. Instead of saying “I love who I am”, start with “I like who I am”. With time you can switch it to “I love who I am”. Give yourself time, self-love and healing from depression is a long journey where you need to be super gentle with yourself and at the same time kick your own butt just a little. ⁣ ⁣⁣⁣ Which affirmation speaks to you?
