I chose an icy blue and white combination since those are the colors that remind me of January! #McCalls7835 can be made in many pretty styles, so this was actually my "test" dress (made with fabric I used for my Spring 2016 collection. #Sewing 3 Summer Outfits You Can Self-Draft This is number 3, the advanced project. I did an Easy (Tube Dress), Intermediate (Belted Pants), and an Advanced (Wrap Dress). I realized that a lot of you want to do this for yourself, so I will be making a DIY Tutorial for all 3 outfits. I already posted the video for the Tube Dress (link in bio). I drafted this wrap-dress freehand, so I had to go back and draw out how I did it. I made these quarter size slopers using blue posterboard The sleeve is a half-sleeve, but it can be adjusted to long or short. If you noticed my skirts, I did a half circle skirt for the back ...and something different for the front. If you don't know how to draft these yourself, no worries! I'll teach you how to do it! #Sewing A Collared Shirt Dress I'll have the blog post up soon. I used Shirting Fabric that I bought at a local fabric store. I'd been staring at this pattern all summer, but I really didn't feel like making button holes and a collar/lapel combo....so glad I got over that!!! The dress buttons down in the front, which creates a split when walking. I modified the bottom of this dress to make the skirt 2 times fuller!! I'll have those details on the blog with a picture of how I cut it out.
