Pineapple Chicken Skillet by @choosing_balance • Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cut 1/2 red pepper, 1/2 onion. Add some olive oil or avocado oil to the skillet, add the pepper, cook for 3 minutes, add the onion for another minute. While the peppers/onions are cooking, Cut 2 chicken breasts into strips and coat with 1 tbsp avocado oil, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tbsp coconut aminos, 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes. Shake up in a ziplock bag and let it marinate. Cut up 1/2 a pineapple into cubes. Add the chicken to the skillet, cook for 10 minutes then add the pineapple into the skillet with the onions and peppers, add 1 tbsp of coconut aminos, let cook over medium heat until the pineapple is soft, about 5 more mins. That’s it! Served with cilantro and lime .

Recipe by @feelgoodfoodie Salmon Burgers INGREDIENTS ​1 pound skinless, boneless salmon 1 tablespoon mayonnaise 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard Zest of one lemon 2 scallions, chopped ½ cup breadcrumbs Salt and black pepper​​ 2 tablespoons olive oil Bun, lettuce and tartar sauce for serving. . INSTRUCTIONS 1. Cut the salmon into large chunks, and place in the bowl of a food processor. Add the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard and lemon zest and blend, stopping to scrape down the sides as necessary, until mixture becomes pasty. 2. Fold in the scallions and breadcrumbs and season with salt and pepper. 3. Shape into four burgers. 4. Heat olive oil on medium heat on a large nonstick skillet with olive oil. Cook the salmon burgers for 2 to 3 minutes a side, turning once. 5. Serve on buns with tartar sauce and lettuce, if desired.

Shrimp Stuffed Avocado By @healthyfitnessmeals INGREDIENTS 1 medium to large ripe avocado halved and pit removed 1 teaspoon olive oil 7 ounces of peeled and deveined small or medium shrimp 1/2 teaspoon chili powder 2 teaspoons lime juice 1/4 cup finely chopped seeded tomato 1 tablespoon cilantro leaves salt and pepper to taste . INSTRUCTIONS Heat the olive oil in a medium-sized pan over medium-high heat. Season the shrimp with chili powder and salt to taste, then add them to the pan. Cook, stirring occasionally, for approximately 3 minutes, or until shrimp and pink and opaque. Pour the lime juice over the shrimp, toss to coat. Season the avocado halves with salt and pepper. Spoon the shrimp mixture evenly into each avocado half. Sprinkle with tomatoes and cilantro and serve

HEALTHY VS NOT HEALTHY : (and words) @caligirlgetsfit Check out @organicallyca for daily recipes ---- Today I want to talk a little bit about CALORIE DEFICITS and fat/weight loss and what's actually healthy. _ I think most of us know by now that if you want to achieve weight loss, you have to be in a calorie deficit, i.e. eating less than the amount of energy you burn per day. This is absolutely true. But no matter what your goals are, the QUALITY of the foods that you eat matter immensely. _ And if your goal is fat loss, achieving your goal in a healthy, sustainable way matters too. _ Going on extreme restrictive diets that limit calories rarely work. Why? Because of the way restriction makes you feel. You might feel hangry and thinking about food 24/7, tired, and depressed. _ I truly feel that no matter your starting point, a steady and conservative approach to fat loss is better than trying to lose too much very quickly, only to create unhealthy habits, such as skipping meals or not getting a well-rounded balance of macronutrients — carbs, fat, and protein. _ Making sure that you're eating healthy, balanced nutrition is key, even if you're trying for a calorie deficit. For example, one of my clients started her deficit on 200 calories less per day (1800 instead of 2000), the equivalent of 1 bag of potato chips. We started by tracking her nutritional intake to the point where she learned so much about food and portions that she now eats more intuitively without having to track anymore. She checked in with me a few weeks ago and lost 20 lbs while eating delicious, nutritious foods that make her body feel good!
