U P D A T E// I’m writing this from the #hyperbaricoxygenchamber I’m in for 2 hours a day (#HBOT 6 days a week). It’s been just over a month now since my #suddensensorineuralhearingloss and the vertigo is gone! I know I shared that already but it feels so good to be off the walker and the world is no longer spinning. I even drove myself to Portland today (my mom flew back home last night). My ringing was as loud as a microphone screech ALL day & night and it was torture but I’m HAPPY to say that it’s down 50%!!! As I go through the day, all the noises bring it back up to about 75% . Still an awful sound but I have to believe with continued therapy and treatments it will go down. Nothing else worked. 2 weeks ago I saw my ENT and he told me that my ringing would prob be that intense the rest of my life. MELTDOWN! I knew I couldn’t live like that! It was awful to hear. I was so depressed!!! I couldn’t accept it. I believe in God and I believe in miracles! I’m still 100% deaf in my left ear but I’ll be okay. It’s hard. I miss my hearing. I miss a lot of what people say and I get overwhelmed and sad but I can learn to live with this. I know the ringing will continue to lessen. I have faith in that!! THANK YOU for all of your continued prayers and support!!! YOU, my insta-friends, have been a BLESSING and source of STRENGTH!! When I didn’t feel I could go on, I knew I had so many friends and family praying on my behalf and it buoyed me up. I have felt your love and prayers. This journey has only begun! I know my Heavenly Father has wisdom & purpose in allowing me to pass through this trial. I have learned so much already in this experience that I couldn’t have learned in any other way. My Savior has been my rock! My gratitude for His atonement for me has become even deeper more personal. Whatever you’re passing through, YOU ARE NOT ALONE!! Please open up and allow others in to help you and pray for you! We all need each other!
