Transgressions is an animation (a very slow one) where I explore a sense of fantasy that comes with the numbness provoked by moving to a new land. After moving to The Netherlands my body started to contract because of the lack of knowledge of the territory, the more I feel disconnected from a territory, the more I daydream. I started to believe that Transgressing to spaces where I was not really allowed, would allow me to feel free. I started to go some days to industrial spaces to film video, take pictures, write texts and record sound. The animation is a collection of the surreal elements I have been finding in these city explorations, in order to reclaim my sense of freedom. . . Disclaimer: Don't blame me for the shitty UI. I wasn't just enjoying kivy . I didn't even package the app . New Github Repo! Face recognition using Facenet. Their are 2 models, one is facenet and the other is a facial landmark predictor for face alignment. The Facenet model I used is trained by OpenFace (~30 mb) . It converts a face image to 128 dimensional embeddings which are later used to compare the faces to recognise them. I used an SVM for classification. The model used for face alignment is dlib's 68 point facial landmark predictor (~98 mb) . What did I learn? -> Facenet is good. -> Kivy sucks.
