Sometimes you can get so caught up on the closed door, the one that walked away, the rejection that rocked your world. You think that all is loss and nothing will ever be the same again. Your emotions will cloud your vision and all you can see is what didn’t happen, what didn’t work out.
-
The voice of doubt gets in your ear and eventually you just find yourself stuck, staring at a closed door and believing that you will never experience the desires of your heart. That God can do it but for some unknown reason He’s not doing it for you.
-
But now you know better and realize that God is sovereign and isn’t limited by a closed door. That He delights in giving you the keys to His Kingdom AND the desires of your heart.
-
Because God’s best is NEVER behind a closed door and anyone who walked away deserves a thank you note for making you available for BETTER.
-
So #RestWell knowing that you just need to keep marching by faith and get your shout ready because divine demolition will bring the walls down.

If you are determined to REST well tonight, knowing that GOD has everything under control, let me see your
I used to get my worth from what I did. My whole happiness was founded upon my clients, sales, testimonials, growth charts, etc. ⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀
I thought, lived, and breathed in the bubble of business. I almost became a robot! ⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀
Then I was asked the question: “if my business were to collapse, if @shetheroar had to suddenly close down, if @socialpalms failed miserably....... would I still be happy?”⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀
In a moment of raw honesty, the answer was no! The alarm bells went off ⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀
I realised that placing my happiness on something that could rust, decline with the economy, or fluctuate with trends, was a SHAKY ground to stand on ⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀
So I went on a massive journey of finding and being happy with who God created me to be: a puppy-lovin’, uncoordinated, sometimes awkward, introverted extrovert who loves people, places, plants, and oversized sunglasses. ⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀
And through that, I learnt to ground my happiness in the unshakeable: God.⠀⠀

When you love people, you make them feel better. In the other hand, when you try to please people you are actually trying to make yourself feel better.
❌
The act of pleasing isn’t an authentic act of giving. It is a desperate attempt to receive something that you believe you don't have yet. Which may be love, attention, security, affirmation...you name it. Whatever the reason is, it is a sign that something inside of you is broken and needs to be fixed
Jesus never tried to please people, instead, he loved them in truth, even his enemies
♥️
He is our greatest example of someone grounded in LOVE. Yes, grounded in LOVE!
♥️
If you seek God wholeheartedly, you will be grounded in love like Jesus. Then, you won’t live to please people anymore! You will live to love them, and this will be more than enough!
I’m going before my Lord with praise this morning. As I honor Him, I want my heart to be beautiful for His pleasure -- beautiful with obedience and full of joy. .
