Splits..... I’ve started to love them when I realized that I could learn them all by myself . I used to always teach power flow because it was what I knew best with my training. But I wanted to experience something different. I wanted my body to go beyond what it was used to. I wanted to challenge it. So I’ve started to move and flow in a more soft and flowing manner. Then I’ve started to create and build my Flexibility Flow. I was in love . And thanks to my yoga community and family @outtahatha and @yicsingapore I’ve started teaching it! My splits are not open yet and that’s the beauty of it. I still have many many Flexibility Flow to create and build. And more classes to take with @yogamuna to learn the drills and techniques, as much as having fun with a like-minded passionate person ♥️. I am so grateful to all my amazing teachers, friends, students, my family and my two loves M and @Simon_ganiere who support and trust me in my yoga journey. Because what I am discovering in my body, on my mat, is what makes me a better person off my mat. Let’s talk about FLEXIBILITY
When your workout routine consists mainly of strength, endurance, HIIT and similar training methods, these limited range of motion activities lead to shortened muscles over a prolonged period of time; chronically shortened muscles can be the first step in a series of events leading to injury
HOWEVER flexibility sessions following your workout can be very beneficial for you:
1️⃣ Decrease your chance of injury.
2️⃣ Increasing Range of Motion.
3️⃣ Decrease your chances of muscle soreness.
The trick is: ⭕️ keep your stretches dynamic before your workout and static at the end of your workout. ⭕️ Hold in each position for 40-60 seconds in your static session. ⭕️ Always Breathe
