Weekends deserve a special treat, right? ❤ I had so many plans and work to do for the weekend but things changed suddenly so we will just have a nice brunch and take a long walk and I'm sharing the recipe for this lovely dutch baby, the best brunch idea. Ingredients: 85g flour 160 ml milk 3 eggs 2-3 tbsp brown sugar 50g butter 1/2 tsp grated nutmeg 1/2 cinnamon . . . Preheat the oven 425 F/220°C and place a large, oven proof, skillet inside and let it in the oven while you are making the dutch baby. Mix the flour with the nutmeg and cinnamon. Beat the eggs until frothy, add the milk and sugar and beat again. Then add the flour mix and beat once more. Remove the skillet from the oven and add the butter, be careful with it, let the butter melt for a few seconds then add the batter and bake for about 20 min or until your dutch baby is super fluffy and golden. The okra from yesterday turned into the most delicious salad find the recipe below, I added some chickpeas, red beans and some simple and nice ingredients and discovered that it works so well with a bit of sour cream or greek yogurt on top, yum Oh, and thank you guys for all your beautiful okra recipe suggestions from yesterday, I have a really long list now For the salad you will need: 250-300 g okra One can chickpeas, one can red beans (I used @sunfoodconserve) 1 tsp paprika (hot or sweet, your choice) 2-3 tbsp olive oil Zest of one lemon Fresh pepper 200g mixed cherries 4-5 basil leaves Preheat the oven at 230 celsius or 450 F. Put the okra (you can slice it or use it whole) on a large tray, add the chickpeas and beans drained, add the paprika, pepper and olive oil. Bake them for 15 minutes. Put the mixed cherry tomatoes in a pan with one tbsp of olive oil and cook them for about 4-5 minutes.
