Good Read repost via @plantroost People are often surprised when I tell them how small our house is compared to how it may look on Instagram. It's essentially a box with a small kitchen, 2 small bedrooms and a bathroom where your knees hit the sink when you sit on the toilet . We recently finished our basement which was huge for our growing family (also $$$) but it's nothing fancy. Quite honestly, I love this house . I love that's it's maintainable and keeps our family close. I love that I can stay home with our kids because of low mortgage payments. I love that there's hope of paying it off quickly which means we can travel endlessly and enjoy experiences. Of course when I see beautiful larger homes my mind wanders, is at times envious, and starts wanting more. But, I always try to bring myself back to the fact that we have a safe and warm roof over our heads and that's what actually matters. Smothering Eva with kisses these days while we wait for her newest sibling . Update on our headboard Pothos: it hasn't started climbing on its own yet, our bathroom Pothos took to climbing right away for some reason. I'm thinking I should've secured it tighter to the wall rather than leaving about 1/4" wiggle room (it's currently held up with nails..I'll do a story on this later today!). My hope is that as it keeps growing I can lead it and secure it tighter so it'll finally attach itself. Nonetheless I love it and the best part is waking up staring at a jungle . #happythursday . .
