The way Instagram crops vertical images is the worstttttt but I still love this moment

So. I was on a walk today and I did some thinkin’. I thought about how far I’ve come in the past year. I went from a measly little part time photographer with an instagram following that consisted of only friends and family to a full time business owner with an audience of over 6,000 people. And that’s pretty damn cool. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Despite all the growth, I often find myself comparing my social following to other photographers. Most of which have the “K” in their follower count. Let’s be honest, “60k” looks cool up their by someone’s name and “6,000” just looks small. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But then I step back and remember how far I’ve come. In a matter of 12 months, 6 THOUSAND people made the decision for me to show up on their feed every day. There are 6 THOUSAND people on this planet that look to ME for inspiration, motivation, creativity, or whatever else. 6 THOUSAND people is a whole lot of people, and I am so freaking thankful. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Here’s to business growth and to realizing that no matter the size, we all have an audience that matters.
