how I feel about getting this loooong weekend situation started! July 4th is the one weekend I make sure I don’t schedule anything because there is nowhere I’d rather be than the lake, soaking up the sunshine and time with our people. it might just be my favorite holiday of the whole year. who’s with me?

Hi y'all, Shannon here. I wanted to brag on Shaun for a li'l bit. One (of the tons) of the things I respect him for is that he photographs every single wedding the way he would want his own wedding photographed. He doesn't cut corners, and he doesn't let exhaustion, ego, or the occasional difficult guest affect the way he serves our clients. And the result is photos like this. ⁠ ⁠ It might surprise you to learn that this moment was snapped during the family formals (different configurations of family members smiling at the camera...yes, we always do those). Shaun had just finished the last photo on the list, and then Lauren and her grandmother embarked on this sweet moment. Instead of moving on to the next "responsibility on the list" or even standing idly by and watching this happen, he pulled the camera up to his eye and quickly captured this fleeting embrace.⁠ ⁠ About eight months later, this photo popped up in the Facebook feed, and something inside me knew why, even before reading the caption. Nunny had passed away. ⁠ ⁠ After the sweeping sadness for Lauren came the swelling pride in Shaun. What a special image to remember a grandmother by, and what a unique and humbling honor to be the one to create it. ⁠ To our clients who have trusted us with some PRECIOUS, once-in-a-lifetime memories, thank you from the bottoms of our hearts. It took me all day, but it had to be perfect! Hannah and Kris’s wedding day is FINALLY up on the blog! It’s a little bitter sweet because this is the last time that I got to photograph these two babes. I miss them already! Link in bio!

I’m headed to Hawaii tomorrow for vacation ✈️ . I’ve had a wedding or shoot nearly every weekend since February.
