So here is my review for Plum Japonais, I posted a first impressions a few weeks ago and compared it to Lost Cherry. I really enjoy Plum Japonais! Hope you enjoy reading my review and feel free to share your opinion in regards to this scent, wish you all a great Sunday! . I get a fruity plummy floral vibe from the opening. It's slightly sweet, but also slightly sour, as you would expect of a plum scent. Really well balanced. And it comes off a little bit boozy plum liqueur). Cinnamon and vanilla give it some additional sweetness. . It's delicious and pretty unique, slightly gourmandish scent. It has oud in it which gives it a slightly dark vibe, but not in a medicinal way, it's a very soft and subtle oud and it adds to the cozyness of this scent. It would be an amazing choice for cold and rainy autumn days, but also for winter if you sit in front of a cozy fireplace for example. . It has good longevity on my skin, projection is moderate, the scent sits close to the skin after ca. 2 hours. It's a very good unisex scent which I would recommend for colder weather. It's definitely one of my favorites from Tom Ford's Private Blend line! I unfortunately don't know if it's discontinued, but I haven't seen it in stores recently. It is still a definitely more complex and interesting, and also a more versatile fragrance than Lost Cherry to me. . Good old Aventus and some of his cool friends by Zara! Just want to share my impressions and opinions with you in regards to those scents, I try to be as objective as possible. . So, right next to Aventus we have Zara Vibrant Leather (I accidentally put this bottle the wrong way round and was too lazy to take another shot after I realized it), Zara Rich Leather and Zara Night Pour Homme IV! . Those Zaras are somehow similar to Aventus, but only in the opening (but also without Aventus famous pineapple note)! I think that all of those smell pretty similar, Vibrant Leather is just a little bit closer to Aventus than the others two. . I must say that longevity and projection is unfortunately really bad with those. A real drydown is almost nonexistent with those Zaras (at least on my skin), those scents vanish pretty quickly, the base is pretty weak, unfortunately. . This all might sound pretty negative, I guess , but on the other hand I think those have amazing value for money (20 Euros for 120ml Vibrant Leather, I mean you really can't complain for that price! ) and there is still the possibility to reapply those every now and then and/or layer. I am not the biggest fan of layering, but I think especially Dior Sauvage would be a really great scent for layering those, because of its amazing performance. .
