I am forever on the hunt for da best pimple patches and I think these patches from @avarellecosmetics might just be the absolute best I’ve ever tried . . I’ve used a variety of hydrocolliod patches before but they’ve never been able to satisfy all my pimple needs since they only work well ( for me at least) on pimples that have come to a head . . Unlike those, the Avarelle acne cover patches aren’t just a hydrocolliod ban-aid, they also contain tea tree oil and calendula to help soothe and shrink all kinds of acne and not just whiteheads . . Today was a BIG day for my family — we took our daughter to her kindergarten orientation The kids went into the classroom and the parents went into the gym to hear all about what our littles will have to look forward to come September! An exciting time to be sure! Afterwards we came back to the house and, as a special treat for a couple of my daughter’s friends and their moms, I made @gkstories @luisegreenkitchenstories’ Ruby Roll Cake filled w/ Mascarpone + their Berry + Chia Jam (The recipes are from their upcoming book #LittleGreenKitchen — which is out next week). The recipe is grain-free, dairy-free, naturally sweetened w/ dates and coloured w/ beets. So beautiful! Normally I don’t comment too much on the plates I use but the cake roll is on a plate that was made by a dear friend of my folks. Once when she and her husband came for dinner she brought my mom a roll cake plated on this gorgeous hand potted tray (if you can’t tell yet, I’m feeling all the love here!) I remember when some of these pore masks first started turning up, everyone was saying how painful they were, but no one was really talking about how well they worked. over the past year or so I have tried a lot of different brands, but the one that has shown me the best results is @blaq.mask . This Charcoal face mask has bamboo charcoal which works naturally to target toxin, remove blackhead and pull out all that gunk that is living in your pores. I always wash my face first I feel like this opens up the pores and honestly I don’t think you should mask over a dirty face. You just apply a light layer on your face and let it try down for about 15 min and then starting from the outside working in peel it off. . Now I’m not going to lie there is a small pain factor, but I mean your peeling off something that is stuck to your skin if you don’t feel anything how the heck would it pull anything out of your pores. but afterwards you skin will feel and look better. Since I have huge pores I try and do this one twice a week and I love it. . Long time no see! Missed y’all but had to take a week break. Does the soul some good to take a step back from social every now and then. Anyways, has anyone else tried this @wander_beauty Play All Day, Translucent Powder?! It’s a powder contained inside of this cute puff. It’s said to mattify and prolong the wear of makeup. I have been testing it out the last couple of weeks. If you are anything like me you normally use a brush and loose powder. Honestly, this pre-filled puff took me some getting use to. When it came to how to hold it, getting the right amount of product out, and blending the powder to a flawless finish was adjustment. Now that I am use to it, I love it. The formula and finish are gorgeous. Plus, the smell of the powder is very pleasing. It did a wonderful job setting my makeup into place without exaggerating my pores and fine lines. I will say that it did start to settle into a few of my more serious wrinkles after a long day, but nothing a little touch up couldn’t handle. Which, is super easy because this compact and pre-filled puff are really travel friendly. I created this easy simple day look using Play All Day.
