I finally decided to start my Youtube channel! The first video just went live and I'm starting off by providing a complete 3-day full-body program. Check the link in my bio for the video. In today's Insta post, I'll go into the full-body routine a bit. - This full-body routine is mostly suited for beginner to intermediate trainees that want to focus on building muscle. Each day of the full-body routine has a different focus. Day 1 (the workout you see above) has a push-focus. This is why in the picture above you don't see a deadlift variation or a tricep isolation exercise, these will be covered in full-body day 2 & 3. - But still, all the workouts train the entire body. Using a full-body routine is great for those that can only spend 2-4 days per week in the gym. Because you train nearly every muscle group in each workout, you train your muscles frequently in a week, which can help with muscle growth [1, 2]. - Again, for a complete breakdown, I refer you my new Youtube video. Happy Thursdayyy friends! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Spring is finally in the air (Atleast here in calgary) and ya girl couldn’t be happpier ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’ve been switching things up a bit lately by tossing some full body workouts into the mix as it allows me to: 1️⃣Train the whole body more frequently as my recovery is quicker (may not be the same for everyone) 2️⃣ Maximize calorie burn (working more muscles = burning more cals) 3️⃣ Get in and out of the gym as workouts are slightly shorter (When executed circuit style) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ My current training split looks a little something like this: Day 1: Quads/Glutes/Shoulders/Abs Day 2: Hamstrings/Glutes/Back/Bis/Abs Day 3: Glutes/Chest/Tris/Shoulders/Abs Day 4: Hamstrings/Quads/Back/Abs ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I typically will pick 2-3 exercises for each muscle group per training sesh. And if the gym is fairly dead I like to complete the exercises circuit style to maximize my time and get the benefits of both cardio + strength training #FullBodyTraining #SummerBodyLoading
