Agora Gallery is pleased to announce the 34th Chelsea International Fine Art Competition Exhibition. The 2019 exhibition features painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, and printmaking from a diverse group of artists at varying stages in their careers. Figurative, still life, and abstract works feature prominently in this year’s competition, which was juried by Alaina Claire Feldman, Director of the Mishkin Gallery, The City University of New York (CUNY) Baruch’s Modern and Contemporary Art Gallery; Kentaro Totsuka, Director of ‘HPF Christopher Inc. and hpgrp GALLERY TOKYO; and Arnold J. By forcing himself to float only in the current moment of working O’Neal presents an opportunity for viewers to do the same. The artist views the act of making as a transcendental process and takes strict steps to ensure the work he creates doesn’t become the object of his desire. ⚡️ME & PAT STEIR⚡️ ▫️ Highlights from “Visible Traces (Mountain Water Air)” @levygorvy ▫️ Boetti (background) Pat Steir Ugo Rodinine Sol LeWitt Agnes Martin Mary Heilmann Terry Winters (background) @cote_nyc food truck ▫️ Throwback to last week when I got to meet Pat Steir at the opening of her new show! Steir — who is finally getting the recognition she deserves at 79 — curated this fantastic exhibition for Levy Gorvy, mixing her own paintings with other works that inspire her. In addition to the contemporary art we know and love, Steir also selected some lesser-known artworks including Chinese scrolls and Congolese sculptures. The end result is a fantastically diverse exhibit that highlights the globalization of the art world while expressing Steir’s personal aesthetic. And to top it all off, @bonayoo hooked us up with an amazing Korean bbq food truck. What a night! ▫️ Even though I didn’t get the best picture with her ‍♂️, it was still an amazing experience to meet a true legend, and the gallery opening was a nice welcome-home-party after a few weeks in Europe. On that note, I’m actually posting from Europe right now! After a quick pitstop in New York, I’m on my way back to Italy to study Renaissance art for a month. And I’ve also been in Lisbon for the last few days with my brother (check out my story for some Lisbon highlights). ▫️ And finally, thank you all for helping me reach 5k followers!!! This has been an amazing journey so far, and I’m sure the future will be filled with many more art adventures... Now let’s see if we can reach 10k before my birthday in October!t

Thursday 22nd August 6 - 9pm!⠀ .⠀ @warblingcollective is excited to present an exhibition from the 22nd of August to the 2nd of September at 155a Artists Space in East Dulwich titled “Of course, I haven’t forgotten!”. A phrase which can be said with either hasty agitation or with shared rejoice for something which will pass or has already.⠀ .⠀ Each artwork in the exhibition is from either a Local, UK-based or International artist, these diverse individual pieces act as fragments of a larger ensemble synchronously eluding to a mistaken memory, a past which was maybe eerily rose-tinted or an event to come which will eventually become strange and unfamiliar to us.⠀ .⠀ Although varied, the 27 artworks share a common sensitivity to a theme.
