The inspiration for LOVERS plant studio figuratively grew out of a giant Monstera given to owner Emily Rice by her partner to celebrate the completion of their multi-year DIY home renovation. Emily knew then that plants were part of her path towards being more creative + independent in her work, and working with other creative people who valued design + beauty. @loversplantstudio offers boutique interior plant design + maintenance services, plant rentals, and personalized plant care advice.  Emily + Walter love curating plants for a space, creating unique plant plans to address the function + form + use of the space and the people in it. Not having a one-size fits all approach makes each of their projects fun + interesting! Emily's first encounter with Femme Fatale happened in 2017, a few weeks after getting her business license at DCRA. Walking into the NOMA pop-up, she met founder Yasmin Radbod. On the spot, Yasmin agreed to let Emily try out plant sales in their space. A week later, they stocked the store with plants and @loversplantstudio has happily participated in all iterations of the pop-up since then. In addition to plant services, Emily hosts fun workshops for plant lovers of all skill levels! Her next one is the Tipsy Terrarium workshop on April 5 at Femme Fatale.
