Gossip, on the other hand, is a slow form of poison and a direct glimpse to the essence of the person finding joy in it. Many things have changed in my life in the past five years. I’m a scorpio with a passionate, deep and extreme personality which I didn’t know how to control nor use wisely before. Instead of using those traits for something good, I let them control me and lead me to the darkest corners of myself and the world. Gossip was one of them. I used to find pleasure in talking about other people, or listening to gossip. It made me feel better about myself. But something I didn’t realize then is that the way I talked about others, said more about me than about them. Every word that came out of my mouth during those years, was a mirror reflecting the pain, fear, anger and disconnection I had within me. My brokenness. It wasn’t until I allowed myself to create space for healing that I realized how important words truly are. They can be natural medicine or a lethal drug. Walking away from words without meaning, and the people who find momentary happiness in them, helped me become a version of myself I can be proud of. The me today. Life is precious, ambiguous, delicate. Dont waste it judging books by their cover, instead...read them! Take the time to get to know people and their stories. We are all going through similar emotions in different settings. Instead of criticizing, help each other grow. Nurture each other. Diminish pain.
