Book review ☮ . I decided to give Kazuo Ishiguro one more chance after the disaster that was the Buried Giant.... Many people seem to love Never Let Me Go and tbh I wasn't disappointed but I wasn't over the moon either. . This story unfolds very very slowly. The writing and setting give you this odd, eerie feeling but for a long time you're not sure what's wrong. It's an unsettling story, one that is difficult to explain without giving away the plot. But I wish it was even more unsettling, I wanted this book to be creepy and shake me to my core. I thought this was going to be one of those books that I would keep in mind for a long time, thinking back occasionally about it, but that didn't happen. . The writing drew me in quickly, and Ishiguro really excelled at creating the setting and atmosphere of Hailsham (an eerie boarding school campus) as well as the British sea towns and centres that were mentioned. El #lector de esta espléndida novela, utopía gótica, irá descubriendo que en Hailsham todo es una representación donde los jóvenes actores no saben que lo son, y tampoco saben que no son más que el secreto terrible de la buena salud de una sociedad.
