I’ve reached and broke my old record weight @ 85kg (now 86,5)! Januari 2018, after that train wreck of an ankle operation which even worsened the back injury I was 74 kg. Last time I had that weight was probably when I was only training for a year when I was 22. I’m still not pain free and I’ll probably need another ankle operation in the future. I herniated my disc about 4.5 years ago. The funny part was that I had just decided to give up alcohol / mind-altering substances, and when I went to the same hospital that I was once blacklisted from (with legitimate pain for once), and told the docs I only wanted Advil, the nurses spent a good 45 minutes trying to convince me that Valium was not a narcotic. No thanks. The irony though! - So my back started hurting again about a month ago. And it sucked. I couldn’t exercise. - It wasn’t until I meditated on my circumstance and truly zoomed out that I found gratitude. I get to walk today? I get to see? I get to speak with fellow humans? Maaaaaan life is rad, and the good always outweighs the bad. - Plus, when the doc says “don’t workout for 2 months” what he really means is light weight till June right? - However stressful this moment is, it will change. Ich möchte mich nicht von meinem alten doppelten Bandscheibenvorfall beeinträchtigen lassen. Also arbeite ich hart dafür vollständig zu genesen. Das schlimmste was du tun kannst, wäre keinen Sport zu machen. Gerade bei körperlichen Problemen betreffend der Knochen, Muskulatur und Gelenken ist es wichtig etwas für die Beweglichkeit zu tun. Lange Zeit war ich zu vorsichtig mit dem Rücken. Meine Brücke sieht natürlich nicht gut aus, aber Übung macht den Meister. Seid ihr Körperakrobaten oder habt ein Sportziel? . .
