Joc and I are busy moms without a lot of extra time to dedicate to a fitness routine. That is the biggest reason we’ve come to love HIRT training. HIRT stands for High Intensity Resistance Training. It’s a quick and affective way to blast fat while building muscle. If you aren’t familiar with HIRT, this is where you perform a series of resistance (strength) training exercises for a number of reps without resting between exercises. So you are increasing your heart rate because you aren’t giving your muscles a lot of recovery time. As a result, you are burning more calories in less time and boating your muscular and cardiac endurance. Boom . Who wouldn’t want to hop on the HIRT !
