⁣Happy New Years, my friends! ⁣ .⁣ I have a little story just for you. ⁣ .⁣ For the past several years, I would make a resolution to put more time into my music. ⁣ .⁣ And I did, when I was younger, but something happened as I got older.... ⁣ .⁣ When I was younger, I dreamed big.⁣ .⁣ I envisioned myself singing in sold out shows, as I belted my heart out to Shania Twain in the car.⁣ .⁣ But as I got older, I stopped imagining this. It was silly and crazy after all. ⁣ .⁣ When we get older, we stop giving our crazy, wild dreams life, like we do when we are kids. ➡️ ‍♀️⁣ .⁣ So to no surprise, as I grew, the pressures of the world took over and I gave in to my doubts.⁣ .⁣ I pushed my crazy, wild dream of being a singer aside and life went on. ⁣ .⁣ But last year something changed.⁣ .⁣ Maybe it’s because I finally started beliving in myself.⁣ .⁣ Or maybe it’s because I stopped reigning in my dreams and belittling them. ⁣ .⁣ Instead, I gave them power. ⁣ .⁣ I allowed myself to start dreaming again....⁣dreaming like I did when I was a kid. ⁣ .⁣ And when I did this, something incredible happened.... ⁣ .⁣ I felt free. .⁣ And I actually started achieving things the old me would have never believed I could. ⁣ .⁣ Now I’ll be honest... it’s not always smooth sailing ⁣ .⁣ There will be moments in 2019 that you need to set your goals aside and step back, because life happens. ⁣ .⁣ And that’s okay. ❤️⁣ .⁣ Life is dynamic, remember, not a straight line to the finish. ⁣ .⁣ Success isn’t found in the amount of times you get things right.⁣ .⁣ It’s found in the amount of times you fail and get back up. ⁣ .⁣ If there’s anything you learn from my rambling, I hope it can be this...⁣ .⁣ In 2019, dream big. Dream crazy, wild dreams that the old you would have reigned in and written off as impossible. ✨⁣ .⁣ Don’t hold back. ⁣And most importantly, don’t ground your dreams.⁣ .⁣ No matter how crazy they seem. ⁣ .⁣ My wish for you in 2019 is to fuel your dreams.
