At the end of the year, I give students the option to create memes about our school year and class; I show them their memes on the last day of school. Students always take this opportunity to roast me, which I think is just so funny! Building community and relationships until the very last day is so important. GOODBYE classroom...HELLO summer ✌Today I said “see ya later” to my home away from home for the last 8 years. I made the very difficult decision to step away from my school and try online teaching next year. This decision was not easy but I believe it will allow me to be a more present, less stressed mom to my children while we figure out life without daddy for the next 10 months. My husband is deploying overseas and will not return until April 2020.
