It's always hard to learn a new tense when your language doesn't have it. For me it is important to find some logic or order to the rule to help it make sense and understand the use. I wanted to practise vocab and grammar but also have fun, so I opted to read 卷发公司的案子 by Mandarin Companion. This was my 3rd ish time reading this part out loud. I have to admit, I spoke more fluidly the time before, but that’s okay! It’s good to hear where my tones need some practise or where my pronunciation is a little off. I still don’t feel comfortable enough to make a free talk video in Chinese so I think this is a nice start. Plus this book doesn’t use pinyin so I can really strengthen my vocab as well I’m kind of loosing my voice now, but I’ll try to make reading videos a more frequent thing just so I can keep track of my progress. My new morning habit - I'm currently reading a book in French at bedtime, so the next morning, if I'm up early enough, I take a book to the café around the corner and write a little summary (and sometimes send a photo to my French teacher @frenchwithmanon who corrects all the mistakes).
