What I did in terms of fitness in my 4 days holiday?
➡️WORKOUTS
•The road was 7 hours so when I arrived I went on a looong walk in the city just to explore it and move cuz I died from sitting that much. So no workout on thursday. •I had a mini gym there in the hotel so on friday and saturday I did worked out in the morning- light sessions just to get a lil pump and feel my muscles.
•Saturday was like thursday- 7h road and then I did a long walk while grocery shopping.
➡️FOOD
▪︎I did not go crazy on food. I brought some things with me: protein powder, yogurt, peanut butter, protein bars, apples and some other things to snack on when I did not eat at the restaurant.
▪︎We had buffet for breakfast so I chose "light" things like: boiled eggs, omelette, toasted bread, veggies, olives etc.
▪︎For lunch and dinner I always had a sourse of protein: grilled chicken breast or fish
With a side of vegetables: boiled potatos, salad, grilled vegetables.
▪︎I did not go there to "be someone else". I love my healthy way of eating and doing things. I went on a holiday to relax, see a new place and spend time with my family. And I did it. And I am happy with my choices. I didn't go crazy on my workouts or on measuring my food but I stayed consistent just because this who I am and what makes be happy. ❤

Some tips regarding Openers for NEW Powerlifters:
- Treat your 1st attempt as your final warm-up. This should be a “freebie” and you should have a guaranteed 3/9. In no case should you Bomb-Out due to an opener(unless you hurt yourself). The battle doesn’t start til your second attempt.
- My personal rule of thumb: Select a weight you can hit anytime of the year, under any condition for 3 reps. Whether you’re sick, fasted, or tired, this should be a lift you can never miss. And certainly something you shouldn’t grind out on Meet Day.
- Nobody cares about your opener. NOBODY. So make it a lift that provides you with confidence on the platform to carry a positive momentum going forward.

But I’m excited to finally get another step closer to my goals in my career as well as my mental health & well being. .
