Forever on the hunt for pretty pink facades Sooo I figured since I changed my handle it would be a good opportunity to reintroduce myself, so wanted to share some fun facts so that we can get to know each other a little but better 1. My last name really is Anastasia, and nope, I’m not Russian! My great great grandparents on my dad’s side came to the U.S. from Italy and our last name got changed from Anastaci to Anastasia at the immigration office 2. I’m pretty introverted and deeply value my independence! I feel most comfortable cultivating one-on-one relationships vs. conversing in groups and I don’t mind doing things by myself ‍♀️ 3. I’m from Florida originally and moved to San Francisco after college! San Francisco wasn’t for me (v cold and foggy) and I ended up making my way to LA last year, and am so glad that I did. There is so much creative energy here it’s amazing 4. I had a recurring dream as a kid about tulips and windmills and have been dying to visit The Netherlands ever since! Hoping for 2020 5. Lastly... I’m double jointed and can lick my elbow! I usually get a mixed bag of reactions varying from grossed out to fascinated If you made it this far you are AWESOME and I’d love to learn something about you! How about... what are your simple pleasures?

‘Having kids is a reason to travel, not a reason to stop.’ Happy Monday everyone! We have been travelling since Alexander turned 3 months and one to the questions I am most asked is tips for overcoming jet lag. Out of the 8 long haul flights we have done with him, 7 have been successful with no jet lag. One was a complete disaster where on our return from San Francisco, he woke up from 2-6 am every night for almost 2 weeks, which meant mama started her IG account & blog in the middle of the night then too! But situations like this teach us of course, so I am sharing my learnings and tips. Please feel free to share any tips you have too? 1. Change it up. We change Alexander’s bedtime a day or two before we leave to adjust to the new time zone 2. Eat and be merry. A full baby sleeps better so ensure that they eat and drink well on the flight but also take into account the destination’s meal times so that they don’t have a double dinner’ for instance. We find that if Alexander has eaten too much (or too little) it means he won’t sleep on time or through the night 3. Sleep routine. We structure nap times on the flight to factor the destination’s bedtime. So for example if he will sleep in 4 hours according to his destination timing upon landing, but he usually has a 2 hour nap at home, we shorten the nap to account for an earlier bed time. 4. We adjust to our new time zone immediately upon landing and even if it’s say 2 pm in the Uk but 8 pm in the USA, we treat it as 8 pm and indulge in the bed time routine then 5. Slow down. We now do everything at a slower pace, and if jet lag is a potential, account for losing a day or two. Knowing this helps us plan on our itinerary with room for change 6. Routine is key. We implement one throughout the flight and in the new destination which is why I advise travelling with familiar items such as toys, books and blankets, so your child doesn’t feel too displaced. We do the reading and bath routine before bedtime, to let him settle in. 7. I’m a snack keeper! ☺️ We shop for snacks when we land. Not being hungry prevents tantrums which means a happier baby & a better nights sleep . . . #londoninbloom #londonspring

A ver si alguno logra distinguir a mis dos compañeros de aventura de ese día ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ☞ London ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Another photo were you can appreciate the beauty of Holland Park with these beautiful flowers in bloom. I wish flowers could stay like this for longer periods of time, because if you go the following week you won't see anything. By the way, just at the end of this section there is the chess board. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ☞ Greenwich ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ There is much more of Greenwich than the meridian line and the planetarium. During spring time Greenwich's Park dress with Cherry blossom flowers, which I will show you later. The university of Greenwich where you can see this symmetrical and beautiful corridors. The maritime museum and the Cutty Sark where you enter an antique clipper ship. And of course many quirky stores, even a telephone cabin filled with books. Also to get here you can take a ship and see London from a different perspective. Someone else here has explored Greenwich too? #londonist #igerslondon #thisislondon #londonlife #london4all #visitlondon #lovelondon #london_only #london_enthusi  #travelawesome #beautifulmatters #espectacular_shot #iamtb #youmustsee #suitecasetravels #traveldreaming #dailytravel #goexplorer #toplondonphoto #living_destination #euro_shots  #citygrammers  #beautifullondon #nature_perfection #londonspring #londondiaries #rawurbanshots #structure_bestshots #london_vsco #Symmetryhunters

Hi I’m Natalie! Idk how long you’ve been around here but I just wanted to say THANK YOU Back in 2016 when I graduated college I had the idea to start a blog to document my move from Florida to San Francisco! I came up with the name Pastels & Passports as a way to combine my love of travel and pastel colors. I’ve been at this for a few years now and things have changed A LOT. I now feel ready to start transitioning from the name Pastels & Passports to just be known as me ~ Natalie Anastasia I’ll be sharing more about WHY I think this is the right business decision throughout the week but here is your official heads up! Excited to show you all of the rebranding we’ve been hard at work on

A quick recap of @ me exploring Notting Hill - 1. “Look! A pink one!” 2. “Why is it so quiet here?” 3. “CHERRY BLOSSOMS!!!!!” 4. *happy squeals* - This district in London has so much eye candy waiting around every single corner! I felt like such a kid in a candy store (a very pastel candy store)
