My Saturday was spent 50% sewing and 50% napping... it was wonderful I finally finished my #modernaztecquilt and I loooove it! It’s been so fun to have a little selfish-sew project on the back burner for a few months but it was finally time to finish things up and give her pride of place in our apartment. Dawn Jeans! I made these in View B (straight leg) in the regular length, grading from a size 8 at the waist to a 12 from the thighs to the knees to make them less tight in the thighs. My machine didn’t want to sew buttonholes with topstitching thread so I just used normal thread but made two buttonholes (one on top of another) instead, but other than that everything came together beautifully Fabric: beeeeeaaautiful thick vanilla corduroy from @potter_and_co_australia Pattern: Dawn Jeans by @megannielsenpatterns Also!! I hacked the #peppermintpeplumtop sewing pattern by @peppermintmagazine into a dress I used one meter of this gorgeous red linen fabric from @tessutifabrics.

Pretty much my dream pants. So thankful the #philippapants pattern exists so I can make as many as I want in whatever colors I want! I put in snaps instead of buttons and omitted the side seam on this pair. I like how it turned out, but I also miss the side seam... I like the added structure that a seam can bring, you know? Are you picky about wrinkles in pants? I personally am not very much. I feel like if I make too many adjustments to eliminate all the wrinkles I won’t be able to climb and stretch and move the way I want. But on the other hand, I’m always impressed with people who take the time to make alterations! Which group do you fall into?
