UPDATE—- only missing Vermont now I’ve been logging my #stickerswaps on a spreadsheet but thought it would be cool to visualize where all my stickers have been sent to. I found the Been app is pretty cool for this, just doesn’t break down the Canadian provinces. I have almost hit all 50 states, let me know if you live in one I haven’t swapped with yet. The results of the FedEx contest are announced today: the grand winners are the guys from Illinois, who make flexible construction toys for children and bring additional impact to the community by hiring people with disabilities for packing. ⠀ On the one hand, of course, not to win is pretty sad, but their work looks so worthy so it even feels nice to lose to someone like them :) I’m just very glad for them! Plus it gave me a huge subject to think about that it’s nice when a business has some nonmaterial values also in and it’d be great to do something generally useful to the community. ⠀ I don’t know yet what it can be though :) Now we (you and I) only save natural resources, not wasting them by producing everything thoughtlessly but making a conscious functional design that brings satisfaction to its owner. But I definitely need to think about that important “something else” ⠀ In any case, I’ve gained a lot of experience. The contest questionnaire made me think about if it’s worth that I was doing and helped me to determine my further course more precisely. And even personally it was pretty scary to enter, declare me, record on the camera, it was a real for me. Thank the contest for this small victory over myself! ⠀ And huge thanks to you, my darlings!
