I've been sick the past few days with an awful stomach virus. When I woke up this morning to this beautiful frost clinging to the landscape, I mustered all my energy to give the horses a quick grooming and then put them out into a small paddock for photos (so I wouldn't have to run after them very far). My dear, sweet husband helped move them around. Edited: just has a severe dizzy spell and will be staying home. So heartbroken. Today's theme is "Overcoming Adversity." For months, I've been looking forward to photographing Skijoring today at Canterbury Park. ⁣ ⁣ Yesterday, I woke up to my world spinning with vertigo. I was able to get treatment for the spinning, but I still feel woozy and out of balance. I have two clients counting on me to provide images from today's event so I'm going to go anyway and create to the best of my ability. ⁣ ⁣ Throughout my career, I've had to overcome a lot of adverse situations, including shooting a wedding just days after a traumatic brain injury, so I know I can do this with God's help and the support of my friends. ❤️⁣ ⁣ #shelleypaulsonphotography #mnhorses #minnesotahorses #skijoring
