Happy 100th Birthday to Dorothy's good friend, the legendary Mr. @natkingcolemusic !! #FunFact :Dorothy and Nat tried to do a television series together. One of the ideas was that they would play husband and wife, and as Dorothy put it, it would be about "this small-time pair of married performers and all of the things that happen to them as they climb to success." The other idea was that Nat would play himself and Dorothy would be his stagestruck secretary. Unfortunately the series was never picked up by any network. Nat King Cole, born Nathaniel Adams Coles, was born 100 years ago (!!!) today in Montgomery, Alabama. Mr. Cole died at the age of 45 in 1965, but he was already an #ICON. I'm still confused as to why we don't have a glorious Hollywood movie about his life/career (well, not really...) but thank the #Gawds for Colman Domingo's @kingbingo's gorgeous "Lights Out: Nat King Cole" (now at the @geffenplayhouse in Los Angeles!)
