FIELD MANAGEMENT TIP | Keep an eye on water management. In 2018, there were a number of farms that had to deal with extremely heavy rainfall. These plants do not like "wet feet," so plant on a slope if at all possible to avoid standing water. Standing water creates an anaerobic (oxygen free) environment in the root zone where bad bacteria and disease will proliferate. Also, when using drip line on a slope, be sure to use pressure compensated drip line to avoid over irrigating lower lying areas in your rows. WHAT IS HEMP? Hemp is a non-psychoactive variety of the Cannabis plant.
