It doesn’t ever cease to amaze me just how full of culture San Antonio is. I spent the latter part of my childhood in San Antonio, surrounded by a culture- my culture- that has no comparison. The city of San Antonio has brought me culture, education, and so many experiences that I will never be able to get anywhere else. At the same time, I’m ready to move on. Though my family calls San Antonio home, I feel like I’ve learned everything that I was supposed to from it. San Antonio, has given me everything and so much more, but unfortunately, my dreams are too big to fit in a city like San Antonio. This is not to say that I would never come back, because life goes in circles, but I’m ready to be on my own. I’m ready to make new memories, get lost in, and discovery new things in a different city. I will always hold SA close to my heart... but I’m ready to move on and start a new chapter of my life. Though I leave SA to permanently start a life elsewhere, I realize that SA will always be a part of me. The people I have had the pleasure of meeting, and those who have impacted my life the most have all been from SA. I grew up, moving from city to city, and have always had two lives; I live in two cities, experience two cultures, have two sides to my personality, and feel so blessed to be able to say that I have two of everything. I am so grateful for the experiences I’ve had, both the heartbreak and the happy moments, because there has been an abundance of both, but it’s time for me to dedicate myself completely to a new part of my life.
