One of the most fun parts about my job is getting tons of new products in the mail to try out - but what comes with that is a side of guilt. - From a very young age, my parents instilled values in me that I carry with me every day. I started volunteering to make breakfast for the homeless every Sunday morning when I was maybe 12 years old and have had a passion for helping others in need ever since. - So yes, receiving so many free makeup and beauty products is fun and exciting and I’m EXTREMELY grateful for all of the brands who want their products in my hands. However, I end up with so much excess product that I feel a responsibility to make sure leftover products get into the hands of people who could better use them. - I’m so excited to be teaming up with my blogger babes @chinaealexander @jera.bean @alyssa.lenore @graceatwood tomorrow for a Beauty Sale for a Cause! We’re selling our unused beauty stash with a “name your own price” sale. And the best part is that we’re donating all the sale proceeds as well as anything we don’t sell to Girls Inc., a nonprofit organization that encourages girls to be “Strong, Smart, and Bold” through direct service and advocacy. - Tickets are already sold out but I’ll keep you guys in the loop for the next event like this!!
