hi, internet. it's been a minute! I spent the last few weeks of 2018 resting, intentional goal-setting for the first time in literal years, and planning lots of behind-the-scenes things so that I could start 2019 off with a big ol bang. I was picturing my bang to look like content planned in advance, space carved out to work on said goals, and actually showing up here. instead? come January 1, my old friend Busy showed up and hit me in the face. now she's sleeping on the couch and eating all my snacks and won't go home. . I think I was expecting all this heart- + mind-work to do some kind of magic. that the time I took to reflect on myself and my business would make me a goal-achieving FIEND! but... it didn't. because Reality. normally once the new year magic wears off and "regular life" sets in, I feel failure, thinking about all the Didn'ts. all of last year's hopes + plans that Didn't happen. everything I wanted to accomplish that I Didn't. and even setting myself up for future failure: goals + dreams I desperately want to make happen, but hold myself back from, in fear that too will become something I Didn't achieve. it's all a real dumb self-fulfilling prophecy. . so let's focus on some Dids. I Did give myself space to think and dream big on things I'm normally too scared to consider. I Did go out of my comfort zone and scheduled a consult I've been wanting for a long time. and after that, I Did schedule a follow-up for my first treatment to help my facial rosacea. this makes me feel capable + hopeful. I Did put more effort into building important relationships. 10 days into the month and I've already got three friend dates down! day-drinking in the sunshine, early morning breakfast, + a ten-woman rollerskating date. the best. . share your Dids with me, pls! it's much more satisfying to focus on those kickass things you made happen, right? there's one thing for sure: I sure DID + do appreciate all of you. my love @magnoliahousecreative

This is a technique I use to decorate the headings in my notebook, or when I want to quickly prettify a little note to someone and I don't have art supplies with me. I’ve been working on creating the most beautiful divider sets for you all. I’m a total perfectionist, so it’s a project that has been put on and off hold for the last year. After working on and testing different prototypes, I’ve finally perfected the tab shape and size (huge deal), narrowed down the paper finishes (satin and leather are my favorite so far), and once the dies are made, we will finally be ready to begin production.
