Mom I’m so proud of you!⠀ .⠀ The other day I received a master coach certificate for a nutrition program that I believe in! I was so excited to share with my group, so I got on Facebook and decided to do a live video. My son was sitting in the living room recliner. He was watching so contently and had a serious face. As I encouraged my group and cheer them on, and asked them if they would like to join me in this wonderful program, I wrapped up my video.⠀ .⠀ My sweet 11 year old boy said, “ Mom that was so inspiring! I’m so proud of you for working hard to grow your business! You are going to help a lot of people!” Wow! I could say nothing but, thanks buddy!! I was chocking back the tears!⠀ .⠀ I have to be honest! I didn’t believe I had what it takes to be a coach... I was losing the momentum I gad started out with. My friend it was because I forgot my Why!! My sweet son reminded me! That it’s so much more than posting sweaty selfies, drinking superfood drinks, or running groups!! I very rarely do selfies anymore, but I put some glitter on and just did it because well glitter makes everything better ☺️ And I generally don’t like my pictures taken like I used to.. “Hello self-confidence? Where did you go to hide? I know you are there somewhere!” ‍♀️ Luckily, I was approached by @sarandipityco to take some pictures with her earrings and I would have felt really bad if I would have bailed on her.. But trust me, I really regretted promising her the pictures as soon as they arrived in the mail I don’t know what it is, but this age of Instagram really hits me hard in a negative way.. All those perfect creatures and their even more perfect pictures with 2,3,5 kids lol I scroll through those feeds and almost want to throw my phone against the wall because it makes me feel ugly and like a total looser! I know I know, this is not how it should be and that’s why I am trying to stay away more from all this because I probably won’t ever be one of “them” and that’s ok, I guess. As much as I love the idea of looking amazing and earning money with taking pretty pictures, it doesn’t seem to be me. I am really rather behind the camera, the one who captures those moments ♥️ I am interested in the behind the scenes, the people behind those feeds and blogs and this is why I can’t make friends with the idea of becoming another insta mom who promotes products. I will here and there if I like a brand, but other than that I want to focus more on my photography skills from now on. What are your thoughts on instagram?
