Because every head of hair is unique and there could be a hundred different ways to get to your desired look. When I’m deciding on placement (where the lightener and foils will go on your hair) and technique (how the lightener and foils will be applied), I’m taking into consideration: • your color history - have you colored your hair in the past? How long ago was it? And was it in a salon or at home? Be honest here!! (And did you know that color never washes out of your hair? So even if you think it’s all faded, the molecules are still there until you cut them off!) • your hair health and texture - how coarse or fine is your hair? Are you recovering from chemical damage? How much lightening can your hair handle and still maintain its strength? • your home care and style routine - do you use heat on your hair? Do you curl or straighten? Do you love to treat your hair or do you prefer a minimal routine? I need to know ALL of this before I can create a plan for your color. When Olivia sat down in my chair this time, the literal words out of her mouth were “I don’t actually know why I’m here” AND THATS THE BEAUTY OF THIS TECHNIQUE!!! Her ends are bright and her babylights are SEAMLESS!!! Olivia doesn’t see a horizontal grow out line, so she gets to love her hair from the day she gets it done until she sits back down in my chair two months later.
