One of my students asked me the other day if stretching still hurts me. I guess I have learnt to love the feeling of stretching. I do remember 10 years ago I actually hated stretching and couldn’t imagine there ever being a day when I would want to stretch for fun. But over time I developed a real love for that stretching feeling. Sometimes I can’t wait to get to the studio to stretch. I was so committed to getting my splits flat that I created a schedule and stuck to it. At first I started stretching once a week and as soon as my body became comfortable with that. I increased it to twice a week and now I find it hard to take a day off If I could go back in time my only regret is that I didn’t start stretching sooner. I actually pole danced for 3 years before even attended a stretch class. I couldn’t do the splits, couldn’t touch my toes and couldn’t do a back bend. If you want to come take a class with me I teach stretch at Alexandria on Friday nights, Crows Nest Thursday nights and now Manly on Wednesday nights. ❤️ I will definitely keep you motivated! #poledanceacademy @poledanceacademy #stretch #flexibility
