You wouldn't know it to look at this lovebug, but the past 24 hours have been pretty rough Complete breast refusal, screaming trying to attach, feeding like a demented banshee, y'know: the usual. Well, after a complete mummy meltdown with Eleanor screaming for "more Pig! MORE PIG!" still in her pyjamas and eating arrowroots for lunch, I called another dental specialist to see when their next appointment is, our appointment with first specialist not for 5 weeks. I kept looking at the calendar in disbelief, willing the date closer. But, bang - appointment Monday to get ties lasered at this other specialist. HALLEFREAKINGLUJAH! I wanted to reach down the phone and kiss the receptionist. Hoping and praying with every mama bear fibre of me that this brings my peachy girl more smiles soon...and less tears from her mummy! This week we found out Conrad had a posterior tongue tie that wasn't mentioned by the consultant who divided the obvious tie in the hospital. I wasn't aware of it and so have been struggling with a 'fussy' baby for nearly 5 weeks, only to realise his fussiness was actually good old plain hunger Posterior tongue ties aren't treated on the NHS in our area so we had it divided by a private practitioner yesterday. He can now access a full feed without falling asleep from the exhaustion and a feed fills his tummy and he can now go longer than 45 mins between feeds now I just have to increase my milk supply... any tips please? #tonguetie #milksupply #posteriortonguetie
