This is a different kind of #facetofacefriday ... the last time I wore my set together was April 2016, when I was 4 months pregnant with my first daughter. And before I could wear it again I was pregnant with my second! My engagement ring is always the first to fit, but I couldn't get them on together... until TODAY!!!! Last Sunday I tried and it was still too tight . Today I woke up feeling a little lean and said "let's just see!" I was literally in shock!! I had to wear it the entire day to make sure my finger wouldn't turn blue and fall off ! I was soooo close to getting it resized but I held out... It's still a little snug but that just pushes me to keep going!

Meant to share this quick glute + Ab burn sooner butt we had a house hunt come up We're moving to GA this summer! This can also be done with a swiss ball or sliders or probably a few other things! I used this at the end of total body day this weekend(did 3 rounds) but if you're super short on time it can be used alone too! I'm using the deep core hold with all of these besides the split squats, there it's belly pump! Adeline laughing at her mommy flexin’ in the mirror! :: :: This is me almost 9 months postpartum & rockin my damn maternity shorts. I haven’t been able to lose more than 8 lbs since I was at my heaviest weight during my pregnancy at #145. I’m currently #138lbs. I’ve been training like an animal and eating pretty clean but the weight is not coming off. The research I’ve done has said that perhaps the high levels of prolactin in breastfeeding moms could be what’s keeping me from losing this excess fat. Apparently we produce this hormone to stimulate milk production and studies show it may also reduce fat metabolism in moms. Awesome! Or maybe it’s all the extra cortisol in my body from sleep deprivation? Whatever it is, I’m over measuring my self-worth based on a number on the scale. I’ve been putting all this pressure on myself to bounce back to my pre-pregnancy weight before summer and I’m officially done. And it feels liberating ! Breastfeeding my daughter is going great and I’m not gonna stop because of my vanity. I’ve gotten back to doing 5 chin-ups from 0! I’m owning my mom-bod for now because my husband loves me and all my new curves ! Even at this weight, I still feel strong! And no, this doesn’t mean I’m gonna just give up on training and eat whatever I want. I’m just gonna embrace where I’m at and remove one more stressor from my life. As if being a mom isn’t enough pressure/stress! I may never look exactly as I did before I gave birth to my daughter and I need to make peace ✌with that. I’m taking it one day at a time. This is me, right now and I ❤️ myself as I am today not as an ideal of who I’m supposed to be. Banded upper body circuit! With a little bodyweight burn at the end It's quick and a great one for your back, chest + shoulders! This was my Tuesday workout:) Switched to bands for a change of pace These can pretty much all be done with weights too, you just have to do them in a different position (bent wide row, lat pullback becomes a lat pressback instead and the upright fly is a lying fly). These are pregnancy + postpartum (when ready) safe, just be extra mindful of the core by using either the belly pump or deep core hold! I show modifications for the raised push up, and I wouldn't recommend doing the pike while pregnant after the first trimester.
