Here’s a look at the Lego Star Wars Battle of Hoth - 20th Anniversary Edition! This set is this year’s May the 4th promotional freebie - to get it you had to spend £75/$75+ on Lego Star Wars. This set contains 195 parts which makes an AT-AT, 2 Snowspeeders, an Imperial Probe Droid, 4 shield generators and a snowy landscape to display them all! The AT-AT is attached to the diorama via 2 studs. It comes with a printed cockpit piece and has 4 very posable legs! The cockpit can rotate side to side slightly however it cannot move up and down. One of the Snowspeeders is orange and one is dark grey which is accurate to the Empire Strikes Back. At this small scale, these are instantly recognisable as Snowspeeders which is great, I especially like the use of the clip piece to represent the harpoon gun! The Probe Droid is only made of 2 pieces, but it does work well in this scale. The four (yes four!) shield generators seem a bit thin and a bit too close together - it feels as if they’re in a different scale to the rest of the set and I’m not 100% sure what the light blue trans pieces are trying to represent. The snowy landscape is one of my favourite parts of this build. The use of SNOT building as well as plenty of differently sized sloped pieces creates a nice, authentic looking terrain. Finally, this set also comes with an exclusive 20th Anniversary printed 2x4 tile! Overall this set does look good, and is the biggest May the 4th promotion we have had to date, however I really miss getting an exclusive minifigure. If this set did have an exclusive minifigure it would have been perfect, but as it doesn’t, I’m still left wanting more! . What do you think of this year’s May the 4th promo?!
