Firstly, its name takes inspiration from Dr James Lind who first discovered that limes helped prevent scurvy on Royal Navy ships in the 18th century. Secondly, it is produced in the brand-new Tower Street Stillhouse in the Port of Leith – the traditional centre of the Edinburgh whisky industry. And thirdly, the quite stunning glass bottles are also rooted in the historic glass production of the area. On tasting Lind & Lime, smooth and thick juniper is the first flavour that comes through, before zingy citrus notes emerge, only to be replaced by dry pink peppercorn spice on the finish. This is a subtle gin with no single flavour dominating, but everything is beautifully balanced and the quality of the spirit shines through. . . My (amazing) wife @jillianleach has been working on an Easter themed release of painted minidonks for a couple weeks now. She told me that she needed 11 of them cast up for her and she went to work painting them, and grabbed some plastic eggs for packaging and is just about done with the batch. We're going to be selling them as blind boxes tomorrow I believe, where 11 will be available, two of each color (pink ones are not pictured) with one golden minidonk for a prize egg. We're working on a special prize for whoever receives the prize egg to get as a free gift as well that you would receive after notifying us you were the prize egg winner. Right now I'm thinking the prize will be an x-ray Tall Tails, but I'm not 100% certain just yet. I think they turned out adorably and I've wanted to try a blind box style release for a long time now and this seems like a great way to try it.
