Shoulder health. . Here are a few exercises which can be used for shoulder prehab. They help engage the external rotators of the shoulder and can prep the area for overhead movements, pushing, and pulling. It can also help with posture by strengthening the muscles in the back of the shoulders decreasing that forward shoulder tilt. . How to perform. 1️⃣ Shoulder drivers. Maintaining tension on the resistance band, move your arms clockwise and counterclockwise. 2️⃣ Shoulder clock exercise. Balanced self-discipline is the only kind of discipline that lasted for me. ❤️ . When I was about 12 I gained a lot of weight. I was ashamed of my body, so much so I would panic when I’d be invited to pool parties or to trips to the beach. Most times I just turned them down. ❤️ . My body felt foreign and not a place I wanted to be in, let alone be seen in. So I began a (silent) war against it. ✂️Calorie counting. Natural medicines. Detailed meal plans. Exercising. (Because I had to, I thought, because I was embarrassed).❤️ . I did lose a lot of weight and I lived in fear that I wouldn’t be able to control myself! ❤️ Eventually I got all the weight back. Lost. Gained. Lost. I don’t know how much I weight today and for years I used to weight myself twice a day every day so that I’d keep myself in line! ♥️ . I have found foods that really work for me. That make me feel hungry for them, pleasure, and that I enjoy eating as much as feels good (during and after)! ❤️I exercise with fun, and focus and I enjoy it (even the deep breathing or screams that accompany them ) . I love seeing how my body responds so quickly to training at age 32! ❤️ . There are days I go overboard with eating. I do shorter trainings (as short as 1min!!) or I skip training altogether. And specially on those days, I am there for myself! . Noticing the discomfort, the self-talks, noticing the impulses to do something about it to “fix” it.❤️ . I call what I do and share balanced self-discipline because as much as it takes discipline to hold a pose for 1-10 minutes and to show up for my body every day, all of this is done with respect to what is truly possible to me on that day (not more, not less). .
