I’m still really proud of this strip lash moment as it’s the first time I’ve ever done them on myself! I try to get myself together more and more as a mom so that I can remember that I fell in love with the beauty industry and all its offerings and it is my passion. It’s hard to not get lost in just taking care of others but also yourself when you can, even if it’s snapping a pretty picture when you feel good after spending time in the quiet decompressing with your makeup. Work life balance is real, and so many moms in the industry constantly have to sacrifice one for the other as it’s impossible to have true balance. When I started in hair I had a moment where I realized I wanted to make others feel good about themselves when they needed me most, and as I grew it into a career, I wanted others to appreciate my education and dedication enough to come back regularly in our new relationship. I continue to learn from the small fish, and the big fish, all while sharing back what I know to keep balance. You have bad days for sure, but they are constantly out weighed by really really good days that keep you going and growing as a being. So everyday I try to branch myself a little more in the industry; upstyling, makeup, nails etc. It’s all part of a big picture I’ve painted for myself and my future and everyday I evolve for myself and for those who count on me most. ❤️
