❗️RED ALERT URGENT!❗️ Emily Rose - #a1810294 1 yr. 7 month/ old Emily Rose is a young, adorable long-legged girl who was surrendered in September 2018 because her owner had 'no time.' When she first arrived, she was wary of everyone. But after a few weeks, she started to let her guard down and is now very affectionate with the people she knows and trusts. She still barks at strangers on occasion, but she’s easily won over with treats in a very short time. Emily Rose ‘sit,' is getting her ‘down,’ walks well on leash, is treat-motivated and responsive and social with people. We’ve walked her with other big dogs, and though she still needs to learn how to meet appropriately, she’s comfortable being around them. Her owner told us she was attacked by another dog during a walk, so she’ll definitely benefit from more positive experiences with other dogs to help build her confidence. Like so many dogs at the shelter, Emily Rose is having a really hard time living in a loud, small space with limited exercise. The stress is causing her to jump and bark in her kennel, which is common for medium-to-high energy dogs who aren’t getting the daily physical and mental stimulation they need to thrive. Unfortunately, her kennel behavior has also landed her on the red list since the shelter is full. Emily Rose was only one when she arrived, and she’s now lived at the shelter for almost 8 months. She’s very smart and has so much potential.
