ZW BATHROOM | pt. 1: the shower + ACV hair rinse infused with chamomile and thyme in an empty kombucha bottle and repurposed spray nozzle (recipe in my grid!) + @fillaree bulk liquid soap - obsessed with this stuff, especially the lavender lemon scent. safe for waterways, fragranced with essential oils, and local to me! also doubles as hand soap and according to my husband, shampoo (gifted) + safety razor - wish i knew the brand but i got it secondhand. if you’re nervous about this switch, i found watching youtube videos extremely helpful and i’ve never once cut myself ever (obviously i just jinxed it though, so) + @plasticsfree avocado conditioner bar that i haven’t used yet but so eager to try! vegan, handmade, and ships plastic free (gifted) + @meowmeowtweet shampoo bar that has lasted soo long. it smells great and suits my super long / thick hair well, especially since i started the ACV rinse + pumice stone that i’ve had for 13 years now, i remember because i bought it from a fancy boutique the day i quit my first job lol so responsible + muslin washcloth in place of a plastic loofah full disclosure. it’s taken us exactly a year to get rid of the trash can in our bathroom, but it probably would’ve taken longer if i wasn’t sent so many great products to review. don’t beat yourself up if you’re not where you want to be yet ☺️ tune in tomorrow for pt. 2 of the ZW bathroom saga any shower essentials (low impact or otherwise) you can’t live without?

We are surrounded by marketing messages about fairly-made goods. As a consumer, and as a blogger, I’ve made it my mission to educate myself, cut through the clutter, and figure out which brands are really walking the walk. And it’s HARD. I still have so much to learn, and sometimes it’s tough to know where to even start. . Fortunately for us, Rebecca (@themavenwoman), the founder of @mavenwomen, has offered to help.
