Hi guys!! this isn’t related to acne or roaccutane, but just wanted to talk about my new passion for fitness! I joined the gym back in November when I started my new job and had more free time, and now I’m working out daily! I do mainly classes by the instructors but want to build confidence in my own work outs, and thought this account would be a great place to post my progress in fitness too! I’m hoping that exercising helps my hormones for when i come off of roaccutane, and it’s definitely a stress relief too. I’m also so happy in my job which I’m hoping will help also! #throwbackthursday i love isotretinoin. (especially now i’ve been off of it for 3 weeks and the side effects are quickly becoming a distant memory) . not long after starting this page somebody called me brave for being so open about my then-to-be accutane treatment. i didn’t know what they meant until i started getting panic inducing messages warning me to stay clear of it before it ruins my body forever. or shame inducing messages about how lazy medication is and how i should be healing the ‘natural way’. [as if isotretinoin isn’t a vitaminA derivative lmfao]. [[as if acne isn’t an actual skin condition which often requires appropriate medical intervention.]] they echoed all the fear-mongering content so readily available online and they added to my already pretty high anxiety around having to take it. they were not helpful and they are not accurate. . with the risk of becoming accutane’s poster boyperson i am very keen to keep showing you it works, [like better than i could on the left here dare to hope for], and that, although potentially uncomfortable, not at all as uncomfy as living with cystic acne. there are risks with anything but i can only speak from my own experience, which is thankfully one from which i would take it again in a heartbeat. it is in all likelihood safe under the right conditions under the proper guidance of a medical pro. . i still struggle to look at throwbacks without feeling a whole lot of things. my face back then hurt more than i wish to remember. it’s been a long old journey. and i’m so beyond glad and grateful to have had this treatment. . i’m also no less of a person on the left. and i hate how the nature of comparison snaps and the celebration of the now perhaps contradicts this. but i’m too tired to sort through those thoughts tonight. really i just want to show you some more the magic that is this thing we call skin. ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
