Bac sensoriel «la chenille qui fait des trous». Ça faisait un moment que je n’avais pas sorti les perles d’eau. Et puis, je trouvais que leurs couleurs, leur forme, s’adaptaient bien à ce thème. Au départ je pensais proposer cette activité à Adam et mettre les perles dans un sac de congélation (comme nos petits pois cf. dernier post). Finalement, je me suis dit que ce serait bien plus rigolo pour lui de pouvoir les toucher «en vrai»La texture est si particulière! Bien sûr je l’avais à l’œil au cas où il en mettrait à la bouche. Louise aussi s’est bien amusée. Delta Sensory Gardens, Carlow, Ireland ⁣ ⁣ I glanced out the window, my eyes weary after a 10 hour nap. The sunlight pierced my pupils like a dart through a roast spud. I knew that this was a day for the horticulturist in me. ⁣ ⁣ My gaze panned, engaging my beloved Shónagh with a stare of contemplation. She could feel it too. The desire for a prickly rose. The lust for a formation of peruvian lilys blended masterfully with a legion of lilac. There was no denying it.⁣ ⁣ Summer was coming... I could sense it... I could feel the gentle prickling of the sun as it danced across my arm. The mesmerising "Cawwwwww" of a crow as it gnawed on a mouldy piece of last weeks Brennans sliced pan. All the signs were there.⁣ ⁣ "Tis a day for the Sensory Gardens" I exclaimed. ⁣ ⁣ Shónagh toyed with the idea, but she was lazy. She tried to dampen my enthusiasm but she quickly realised that today wasn't the day. I was on a mission. Like Will Smith in Independence Day - this was my time.⁣ ⁣ The Sensory Gardens was worth the trip and is a fantastic spot to go to if you want to discover how great a bit of landscaping can be. Concept gardens and themes all over the place. I was looking for the "half chopped pallets with jungle growth" theme that I am currently rocking in my backyard but there was no sign of it. I figured I must be ahead of the game. A revolutionary if you will. A Che Guevara of shitty gardens. That is me. Shit Guevara.⁣ ⁣ I had just come to terms with my newly found fame when I spotted this lovely little water feature. There was even a rainbow there. They say that at the end of every rainbow is a leprechaun with a pot of gold☘... I can confirm this is in fact true. There was a leprechaun there. His name was Brendan. We swapped numbers. We kept in touch. Cher printemps, nos jardins ont bien changé depuis ton arrivée. Le vert s’est imposé, nos graines sont devenues fleurs, légumes, les insectes et les petites bêtes peuplent désormais nos jardins. Vous l’aurez compris, ont quitte nos animaux de la ferme pour nous intéresser ces prochains jours aux petits habitants de nos jardins. On démarre les festivités avec un bac sensoriel aux couleurs printanières.
