First year of teaching complete ✔️ I took this photo five years ago when I was a student, and I never imagined I'd be back four years later as a YSDN instructor myself. The past four semesters have certainly had their ups and downs (especially this past semester), but it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career thus far. Today, one of my students told me I give the best critiques of all the profs they've had in the program ♥️ I hope in the future I can teach again, but now it's onto the next adventure ✈️

Amelia, the small versions Selections from my hundreds on hundreds of character sketches I did while trying different takes on Home Hunting's general story. A few of these are from when Amelia was a little girl in the real world whose family is moving and the fantasy worlds she travels to are her mental representation of dealing with life's changes. And a couple of them are from when Amelia was a tiny explorer investigating the regular sized world. For Variety's 10 Animators to Watch event, I needed to put together a reel of my art that would play as the party was bumping. As most of my current art is under NDA and my personal work right now is writing and live action, so I needed to go through my old art folders and I'm gonna post some of those selections here! This is a frame look test for my short film Home Hunting, which started as my thesis film at Sheridan College in 2015/2016. We see our girl Amelia recieving the the enchanted pocketwatch that will transport her from world to world as she tries to find out if she is really the only person left. Seeing this up on the big screen really invigorated me to work on this project again. Now that I've gained more storytelling skill, and more importantly no longer feel the intense pressure to make things that are absolutely perfect, I know I can just complete a project and send it out into the world.
