Loved seeing sweet little Olivia for her 1 year smash and splash session! I used to hate cake smash sessions and cringed when parents would ask to do them. I went from hating them to loving them and OFFERING them! Why? How? Well I dreaded them because I always felt like they were pointless. Yes, it's a milestone for babies but it just made no sense to me and I always thought "What are you ever going to do with this? You're not going to hang this Paw Patrol/Bubble Guppies/etc. mess on your wall!" But...Since I always liked the sentiment of capturing the first birthday I tried to think of a way to do it in a timeless way...in a way that parents can display in their home in a beautiful way and also capture the milestone in their child's life. Since I've started styling timeless smash and smash sessions I've grown to love cake smashes and actually look forward to them! The simplicity of them captures the moment and doesn't distract from the sweet baby and creates a timeless piece of artwork for the wall!
