Lately I get a lot of direct messages with questions regarding my technique, tools and tricks that I use while drawing. So, I've decided to share some tips with all of you and here's the first one:
About six months ago I've begun using a grey liner. It started as an experiment, but caught on quickly and now I can't imagine drawing without it.
What are the main benifits?
⠀•the grey liner enables you to achieve much softer gradients. If you put in enough time your gradient can be nearly perfect.
⠀•it's very good for blending things. Whether you want to equalize tone or lose a hard edge, grey liner is your #1 friend.
⠀•with grey liner you can gain the mass of dots without darkening the value too much. It's good for achieving a film grain effect, if that's what you're going for.
Now I'm talking strictly about rendering in dotwork. Grey liner is super-useful at each stage of my creative process, but we'll talk about it in the future.

Últimamente he estado trabajando en esta nueva mariposa. Cómo deben haber visto, me encanta dibujar mariposas porque son en mi opinión uno de los animales más hermosos pero también porque al ampliar el tamaño puedo apreciar mucho más sus detalles y aun así son mucho más hermosas. .
