Today, as you may know already, was my father's birthday and honestly it was wonderful! The cake didn't actually rise, so I just dumped all of the buttercream on top. I finished with some shredded salted nuts and chocolate chunks. It was delicious! Later we went to the beach, where it was even more wonderful because why wouldn't it be wonderful when you're at the beach? I read approximately fifty pages, I have finished reading the three quarters off of 'The Picture of Dorian Gray' and - how could it be different - I can certainly say it has become my favourite book. I am reading it slowly; so that I savor every tiny bit of it. Oscar Wilde is simply extraordinarily illustrious! (I have my doubts whether the aforementioned last words make any sense, but even if they do not, mistakes are humane). Simply for the record, I do not actually believe in astrology, but I can say I am a little fascinated by its accuracy most of the time and in case it was not made clear I am not referring to daily predictions. I have been enamoured with Sufjan Stevens's 'Illinois', lately too. My favourite song of it is probably 'John Wayne Gacy, Jr'. In essence, the whole album is a timeless masterpiece.
